GFRC
GFRC (Glass Fibre Reinforced Concrete) is a mix comprising cement with specially cut siliceous glass sand.
The glass fibres employed are "A.R." type (Alkaline Resistant).
The GFRC surfaces are shaped by spraying mortar and fibreglass into moulds of the desired shapes and sizes.
The application equipment simultaneously sprays the mortar and extrapolation of the "A.R." fibreglass cut to a length of 2.5/3 cm.
Due to its specifications and usage, GFRC is an extremely versatile material which allows designers ample freedom in designing both architectural structures and scenic settings with the following characteristics:
- lightweight (35/50 Kg/sq. m.)
- Cost efficient application
- Fireproof
- Totally waterproof
- excellent resistance to chemical and atmospheric agents
- Low maintenance costs
The application of GFRC in moulds allows for the exact reproduction of any type of form and surface area.
The products versatility allows designers to build unusual scenic applications in locations in which it would be impossible to use real rocks.
These rocks can be used in:
theme parks, gardens, golf courses, shopping centres, residences, urban outdoor settings
A variety of possibilities:
waterfalls, thematic swimming pools, hydromassage tubs and spas, grottoes, rocky walls, embankments, sculptures |
